Mango Lassi

Whether it’s summer, fall, spring or winter, mango lassi is a favourite in our house no matter what the weather. Our whole family enjoys them, especially the kids, who feel like they are drinking milkshakes!

A mango lassi is simple to make and, of course, a healthy part of the desi diet.

Ingredients You’ll Need:
-2 cups vanilla kefir
-1 mango
-3-4 cardamom pods ground into a fine powder
-Salt to taste

Instructions:
1. Peel and puree the fresh mango in a blender or food processor.

2. Grind fresh cardamom pods. Add cardamom and salt to mango puree.

3. Add the vanilla kefir and blend until you have the right consistency.

4. Serve chilled and enjoy. This makes about two servings.
