If you have never been to Victoria, British Columbia you need to add it to your bucket list. Victoria is a beautiful island that is a short ferry (or helicopter) ride from Vancouver. It’s a beautiful city with so much to see and do, at any time of the year.
In reality, this list could be endless, so we decided to pick 5 of our favourite things and share them with you. Don’t be surprised if another list pops up in the future with more fun things to do in Victoria!
Things to do in Victoria
1. City Tour
A city tour is really a must, Victoria is a really beautiful city and a tour will help you get a real taste of what there is to see and do.
2. High Tea
You can’t go to Victoria and not experience high tea. It is offered in many different places. The most well known is at the Fairmont Empress. It’s wonderful anytime of the year and it’s extra special around the winter holidays!
You can’t be surprised to see food on this list. Victoria is full of amazing restaurants pubs and little eateries. Here are some of our favorite places to eat in the city that you really need to try, including The Mint which has great fusion South Asian Food and a cardamom mojito to die for!
4. Parliament Building
Taking the time to visit the Parliament Building in Victoria is definitely worth it! It’s such a rare thing to be able to do. It’s breathtaking at night with all the lights. And during the day you can walk through it, take a tour and if you have the chance, visit the very well guarded gem of a restaurant.
And then of course, you have to do a little shopping. Don’t miss out on Victoria’s Fort Street. It has a lot of amazing little shops and boutiques where you can shop for things for yourself and others for items that you won’t find at your local mall.
